★Festival Fever☆

Music, mud, and a s**t load of glitter; how else to summarise the surrealness of a music festival that makes you feel like you're apart of something biggger in the world when your lost in a thousand faces in a mosh pit and emerged in soulful sounds.

☆☆☆

Festival season is fast approaching with Splendour in the Grass just around the corner, which means a new opportunity to unleash some creativity into designing an outfit, because after all, isn't a festival just one big fashion parade?

Half the fun of festivals is being able to put together an imaginative ensemble that would be deemed inappropriate anywhere else but the grass and dirt dance floor, and my favourite part is seeing the uniqueness of everyones creations.

With Coachella and Groovin the Moo already behind us this year, I've scoured some of the best festival getups and stores to shop to give you some outfit inspiration, guaranteed to beat all the crotchet and flower crowns this year.

Inspiration:

★@Cartia Mallan - the ultimate music festival muse who never skips a festival. Head to Instagram and Youtube to see her Coachella looks that stood out amongst the crowd.

@Rahnee Bransby - always killing the outfit game topped off with glitter makeup goals.

@Wethe_wildones - the wild duo Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott sure know how to dress to impress for festivals

★More festival fashion flashbacks @annalisemclachlan @jess_hargreaves @maragrams

For Makeup Inspo:

★@By Brooke Elle - Her festival face creations combine glitter (an essential), sequins, geometric markings and an intense glow to make a stunning look to enhance any outfit

@rubygraham.mua - check out my favourite girl Ruby's instagram page for some makeup inspiration, or if you're not an expert in the makeup department, better yet; book her to do it for you and you'll never want to take it off

For the best festival finds, shop at:

☆ Princess Polly

☆ As I Am The Label

☆ Verge Girl

☆ Fauna The Label

☆ Free People

☆ Nasty Gal

☆ Dolls Kill

☆ Her Pony The Label

Or for a unique outfit you're not likely to find someone else wearing at the festival, buy second hand from opshops, shop for one offs on Etsy or get crafty and make your own design!

Festival Checklist - The Essentials:

☆ Glitter- pack your sparkles, sequins and stars and go wild with your designs, there's no such thing as too much glitter at Splendour. But expect to be finding it in your hair for atleast a month later.

☆ Quirky coloured lense sunglasses from the 90's are back and perfect for festival styling

☆ Accessories are a must - shop boho body chains and jewellery from Grace Bijoux

☆ Bag - style a matching backpack, bumbag or side bag with your outfit to hold all your necessities and store a sneaky flask, (because who can afford drink tickets after you've styled a bomb outfit?)

☆ Boots - with a high chance of mud, boots are a must for festivals. Anything open-toe is just asking for a broken foot in the mosh pit.

☆ Jacket - despite the daytime heatwave inside mosh pits, the nights still get chilly so pack a jacket. Denim jackets are ideal because you can effortlessly tie them around the waist during the day.

☆ GOOD VIBES.

I'm still currently in the process of op shopping and getting DIY savvy to put together my outfit for Splendour in the Grass 2017 and Listen Out, but stay tuned to see the full look on my instagram @miragietzel followed by a youtube video of the festival.

Can't wait to see your glitter get-ups on the Splendour d-floor shaking your groove thang this July.
